Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Software Engineer at Kaplan, you will be integral to our engineering team, contributing to the development of our scalable learning platform. Your responsibilities include:
Developing Software: Engage in the design and development of user interfaces and frameworks using modern tools such as Node.js, Angular, Docker, and AWS.
Collaborating Across Teams: Work closely with engineers, QA teams, UX designers, and project managers to ensure our products meet high standards.
Deployments: Regular Deployment activities using our continuous delivery pipeline on AWS
Quality: Maintain solid test coverage and fix any bugs that pop up in our applications.
Better Documentation: Writing clear instructions and manuals for activities/processes carried out within a system/firm.
Remaining up to date: Stay current on web technologies that may help us innovate the Kaplan way.
Skills Required
Skills required to succeed in this role:
Skills: PHP, HTML and CSS basics JavaScript Basics Knowledge of Node. Js and API design useful.
Problem Solver: Unit testing experience Understanding of both relational and non-relational databases.
Familiarity with Agile or similar lightweight methodologies
Web Accessibility Awareness: Knowledge of web accessibility principles.
