Operations and Maintenance:
Management & Ownership: End-to-end ownership of all Data Center changes, events and incidents through to completing the post-mortems/RCA.
Manage Everything from Maintenance, All operational systems so the site remain plant and machinery is serviced to the highest standard.
Keep documentation: create and follow technical documents (SOPs — standard operating procedures, emergency response plans, planned maintenance).
Compliance: Manage technical compliance audits and ensure that corrective actions are closed in a timely fashion. Compliance with the statutory requirements and good practices prevailing in other location
Implementation and Disaster Recovery: Manage the flow of information in situations involving program interruption, coordinating vendor support to insure smooth continuity.
Skills Required
Technical Expertise:
Broad and deep strong knowledge of mission-critical systems for example Data Centers, Hospital or power plant.
Skill in writing and organizing support procedures, technical documentation; issue tracking.
Problem-Solving:
Strong judgment and decision making capabilities under pressure
The ability to think clearly in complex environments with multiple competing priorities;
Vendor Management:
Negotiating, administrating and managing vendor contracts specific to Data Center. operations or construction upgrades.The execution Details;
Proactiveness:
Continuous enhancement of expertise in AWS business and technologies.
Take initiative to own technical issues, and collaborate with a team of developers to fix problems.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Electrical Systems: Able to recognize key Data Center electrical systems including but not limited subtation feeds with utility, transformers, switchgear,, UPSs,, PDUs, ATS’s batteries generators and associated monitoring.
Mechanical Systems Knowledge : Must be expert in managing mechanical systems eg CRAC/CRAHs, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Valves and Duct System.
Knowledge of Facilities Systems: Fire Detection and Suppression, Plumbing / Drainage knowledge, Building Monitoring systems (BMS)
