Key Responsibilities
As an IT Support Intern at CoverSelf, you’ll help keep things running smoothly. Here’s what you’ll do:
- First-Level Support: Be there to assist employees with any issues they have with hardware, software, or networking. You can help them via phone, email, or even face-to-face.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Spot and fix technical troubles with desktops, laptops, printers, or other gear.
- Software Installation and Configuration: Set up and maintain software on company devices so everything works well.
- User Account Management: Help manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords and make sure security rules are followed.
- System Maintenance: Keep up with routine maintenance and updates so our IT systems stay efficient.
- Hardware Setup and Deployment: Help out with setting up new hardware like computers and monitors.
- Documentation: Keep accurate notes on IT assets and support activities.
- Security Compliance: Make sure security policies are enforced across all systems and networks.
Requirements
To do well in this job, you should have:
- A basic understanding of Windows & macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office & other popular software tools.
- Knowledge of basic networking stuff (like TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP).
- Nice problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills—both talking & writing.
- Ability to work alone as well as with a team.
- A friendly approach with a customer-service mindset.
