Key Responsibilities
As an SDE Intern – Backend at GeeksforGeeks, you will:
- Design, develop, and enhance functionalities across various domains of the GeeksforGeeks platform.
- Develop REST APIs for backend services, including Authentication and Authorization.
- Collaborate with the software team to ensure the operational excellence of the website.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to improve site performance.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to optimize backend services.
Skills Required:
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Django.
- Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms, Databases, and Programming Concepts.
- Experience in basic Web Development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Proficiency with RDBMS and practical experience with MySQL.
- Familiarity with Amazon AWS and cloud services.
- Experience in Backend development (preferably in Django).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect web applications with backend services.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Creativity and critical thinking skills to optimally implement new features.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git.
