Responsibilities of the Software Quality Automation Engineer
As a Software Quality Automation Engineer at Intel, you will be responsible for:
- Software Development: Designing, developing, and validating software across various security technologies, including firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, and applications.
- Security Testing: Conducting ongoing security testing, code reviews, and debugging to improve software security.
- Automation Frameworks: Building and enhancing automated test frameworks to streamline testing processes.
- Architectural Design: Providing engineering designs for new software solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to ensure the software adheres to Intel’s security guidelines and best practices.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in test software development, test execution, and writing test plans/cases.
- Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or any test-oriented programming language.
- Demonstrated experience in building and enhancing automated test frameworks.
- Strong debugging skills and experience with diagnosing and resolving software issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in software/firmware validation and a solid understanding of security standards.
- Knowledge of computer networks and system software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
