About Tata Imagination Challenge 2024
This challenge is the largest idea competition in India. It’s open to students of EVERY subject. Big ideas or small ones—if your idea can help solve a problem or make life better, we want to hear it! The challenge aims to support innovation through mentorship and guidance, giving you the chance to present your ideas to Tata leaders.
Competition Structure
The 2024 challenge has several rounds. These rounds will test things like knowledge, critical thinking, and creativity. Here’s how it goes:
Round 1: Tata Brand Assessment

End Date: 09 Sep 2024, 11:59 PM IST
This round features a quick quiz with 20 questions. You’ve got just 20 minutes! It checks your knowledge about Tata Group & tests your skills. Remember, answering fast gets you more points! - Round 2: Gamified Assessment

End Date: 22 Sep 2024, 11:59 PM IST
After nailing the quiz, you’ll face a fun assessment that tests your logical thinking & quick reflexes. No need for heavy studying; practice tools are at your fingertips to get you ready. - Round 3: #imaginethat Idea Pitch

Now’s the time to pitch your awesome ideas! You’ll create a two-minute video explaining your idea & answer three quick questions:WHAT: Tell us about your idea & why it’s necessary.
HOW: Share how this idea will make things better.
WHO: Point out who will benefit from it.Candidates picked for this round will get detailed guidance & access to masterclasses. - Idea Buddy Phase (Non-Evaluative)

End Date: 10 Nov 2024, 11:59 PM IST
The top fifty candidates will team up with an Idea Buddy from Tata for help refining their pitches before the final showdown! - Popular Choice Awards (Non-Evaluative)
The best fifty ideas go up for voting. The top five ideas that get the most votes will win cool prizes, regardless of what the judges think. - Round 4: Grand Finale

Finalists will wow senior Tata leaders in an exciting event in Mumbai—all expenses paid! You’ll even visit famous Tata places & meet awesome leaders there!

Eligibility Criteria
You can join the Tata Imagination Challenge if:
- You’re a full-time college or postgraduate student in India.
- You’re taking an AICTE/UGC-approved course or a one-year management course at a business school.
- Your academic year has started.
But here’s who can’t participate:
- If your classes haven’t begun yet.
- If you’re signed up for correspondence or distance education courses.
- If you’ve already graduated or finished your course.
- If you’re on leave from work (non-Tata).
